How it works

Four steps get a document signed: upload it, place fields for each signer, send it, and they sign from a link — no account required on their end.

1. Upload & place fields

On New envelope, choose a PDF and add each recipient by name and email. Drag a Signature, Initials, Date, Text, or Checkbox field onto the document for whoever it belongs to — switch the active recipient tab first so the right person gets tagged. Drag a placed field again to move it, its corner handle to resize it, or the small dropdown that appears on hover to reassign it to someone else.

2. Send

Sending emails each recipient a unique, private signing link. Nobody needs to create an account to open it — the link itself is their access.

3. Sign

A recipient opens their link, reviews the document, draws their signature, picks a reason for signing, and confirms consent to sign electronically. Every view, consent, and signature is timestamped and logged.

4. Complete

Once everyone has signed, the signatures are burned permanently into the PDF (not left as an editable field), the final file is hashed, and everyone gets notified. You can download the completed PDF from your dashboard any time after.

Is this legally binding?

In the U.S., yes — for most everyday contracts (NDAs, leases, service agreements, offer letters), this meets the ESIGN Act / UETA requirements for a valid electronic signature: explicit consent, a deliberate act of signing, and a full audit trail (timestamp, IP address, and a hash of the document before and after signing). This is a simple electronic signature, not a certified/qualified signature — it doesn't verify government-issued identity, the same way most everyday e-signature tools don't. For anything unusually high-stakes, check with a lawyer.

What if someone won't sign?

They can decline from their signing link, with an optional reason. That closes the envelope for everyone and notifies you — declining is also logged to the audit trail.

Can I remind someone who hasn't signed yet?

Yes — every pending recipient on your dashboard has a "remind" button that resends their invite. Envelopes that go untouched for a few days also get an automatic reminder.
