Use case

Sign an NDA online

Before sharing anything confidential with a candidate, contractor, or potential partner, get a signed NDA in minutes, not a mailed-and-scanned round trip.

1

Upload your NDA

Your own NDA template, or one from a lawyer. Sign doesn't provide legal templates; it signs the document you already have.

2

Add both parties

Add the disclosing party and the receiving party as recipients, then drag a signature and date field onto the page for each.

3

Send

Each party gets a private signing link by email. No account needed on their end. You're notified as each one signs.

What to include

An NDA doesn't need to be complicated, but a few things are worth getting right before you send it:

  • Both parties, clearly named. the disclosing party and the receiving party, spelled out, not just "Company" and "Individual."
  • An effective date. when the agreement starts, usually the date of signing.
  • What counts as confidential. even a short definition avoids disputes later about what was actually covered.
  • How long it lasts. NDAs commonly run 1-5 years after signing, or indefinitely for trade secrets.
  • A signature block for each party. this is where Sign's fields go: signature and date for both sides.

Questions

Is a typed or drawn e-signature valid on an NDA?

Yes. An NDA is a standard contract, and Sign's signatures meet ESIGN Act / UETA requirements: explicit consent, a deliberate act of signing, and a full audit trail. See how it works for the legal detail.

Do both parties need to sign at the same time?

No. Each recipient signs from their own link whenever they get to it. You can see who has and hasn't signed from your dashboard, and send a reminder if someone's slow.

Can I reuse the same NDA for multiple people?

Yes. Save the field layout as a template once, then reuse it for each new NDA instead of placing fields from scratch every time.
